Ежегодно в Азии проводится Симпозиум по биокерамике Asian BioCeramics Symposium. Каждый год он собирает передовых ученых- исследователей, инженеров, производителей, стоматологов и хирургов со всего мира. Впервые Симпозиум был организован в 2001 году для поощрения молодых азиатских исследователей, заинтересованных в биокерамике и смежных областях науки. За более чем десятилетнюю историю проведения Asian BioCeramics Symposium стал одним из важнейших событий в научной жизни Азии, которое с каждым годом набирает все больше популярности.
На пленарной лекции профессор Юрий Гогоци, Университет Дрекселя, США, выступил с докладом о производстве углеродных наноматериалов в приложениях для энергетики.
